- Skin-soothing benzoin is a pioneer species in the Laos Forest, aiding soil rehabilitation and helping woodlands to flourish. Traditionally harvested by the communities with many centuries of knowledge of sustainable extraction and folk uses, our suppliers work closely with 10 villages and 300 tappers directly. Each tree only produces around 1.3 lbs of gum resin every year, and as the forests are managed sustainably, only 50% of the trees are tapped each season.
